| Admission Criteria | Candidates are selected by the Central Selection Committee on the basis of their ranks in WBJEE and AIEEE Candidates seeking admission in the Institute are required to pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or any equivalent examination of recognized Board or University and qualify in the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the West Bengal Board of Examination for Admission to Engineering, Medical, Dental & Technological Degree Colleges (WBJEE), and get admitted through counseling by the Central Selection Committee (E & T). . Diploma Holders in Engineering/Technology qualifying in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for lateral entry (JELET) are eligible for admission into the third semester (2nd year) of B.Tech. courses through Central Counselling by CSC (E&T) upto a maximum limit of 10% of the approved intake in each stream.TEST REQUIRED:WBJEE |

B.Tech(Electrical Engineering)- Stands for Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering. Typically, B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) is a four year course, the minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) with subjects such as physics, math and chemistry. Electrical engineering is a particular branch of engineering, which deals with the study of different uses of electricity as well as equipments that create and distribute power. Subjects studied under this degree are Mathematics, Engineering Physics, Analogue and Digital Signal Processing etc.
